Sometimes I feel like I was born in the English countryside in the 1800s, but the truth is I couldn’t be more from my place of birth, Brooklyn, New York. Brooklyn is cool now, with a state of mind and its own t-shirts. But it’s the grungy, hardworking, elbow -rubbing Brooklyn that created such a desire in me for fantasy and magic. Or maybe it’s just my love of stories.

It is my desire to bring stories to life, using letters and brushstrokes.

My stories begin with the characters, who they are and what they want. They refuse to go away. Then I am required to place them in a cool setting ,because like me, they want an adventure.

I studied fashion design at the Fashion Institute of Technology and Social Work at Fordham. I was lucky to work and study with people from all over the world. I live in Brooklyn with my husband and two sons.
